The broken wing

One day, Johanne came into the shop with the flyer from her spinning wheel. The hooks on the flyer were extremely worn and rusty – in fact, it was hard to understand how she had even managed to spin yarn with it. The flyer was immediately sent to the workshop, where it received new brass hooks.

Now the flyer is like new, and Johanne can spin yarn without problems again. She is a diligent craftswoman who both spins and dyes her own yarn. Every year, among other things, she knits a sweater for her grandchild with her own yarn – a tradition that testifies to her dedication and love for the craft… and her grandchild.
