Pia runs her own weaving studio in Silkeborg, which she has named Textum. According to Pia, the name means "My Textile Playground". She offers weaving classes and has exhibited her own works at renowned art institutions - such as Trapholt in Kolding.
Pia states, "I weave utilitarian art because the joy of a good and beautiful piece of fabric is great. When I choose the quality of the yarns I want to weave with, it's important that quality and utility go hand in hand. When I sit at the loom or with the weaving frame, time becomes a funny thing, because it flies by - even though the weaving itself is a slow craft. In this process, thoughts can flow and new ideas for the next project can emerge."
