Weaving needle or nålebinding needle in wood
Nålebinding is an ancient Scandinavian textile technique that predates both knitting and crocheting. It uses a single coarse needle (made of bone/wood) and short strands of wool yarn to sew loops together into dense, durable textiles such as hats, mittens, and socks. The technique is characterized by pulling the entire thread through, which makes it impossible to unravel the work.
